Meet the Team

Our Team Approach to Dentistry

Monroe Street Family Dentistry is a comfortable environment where patients feel welcome to share their concerns and ask questions every step of the way. We are curious by nature and encourage that curiosity whether you are a kid who's favorite question is "why?" or an adult who has any amount of fear or anxiety. You are an important part of our team. By showing up for routine preventative visits you are investing in the foundation of your oral health. By having that foundation of those routine visits and good prevention, we see and catch things early and minimize invasive action. That's a holistic approach that works.

This philosophy also extends to our staff. We work together closely with a mutual level of trust and respect. It's easy for patients see this high-functioning team in action when observing the seamless interactions between Dr. Farrow and his hygenists and support staff.

Dr. Farrow

Dentistry runs in the Farrow family. Dr. Farrow started early, working in his Dad's office sterilizing instruments and working with plaster when he was young. He learned to earnestly love the practice of dentistry and is happy following the family tradition.

Dr. Farrow treats patients like guests in his home--like a neighbor or friend. This practice is one of the few where you really get FACE TIME with your dentist. Dr. Farrow doesn't just pop in for a harried checkup after your cleaning—he's there asking questions and encouraging you to do the same. The slower pace and personal relationship harken back to a more nostalgic era, but is complemented by a modern practice with the latest tools and techniques.

Patients trust Dr. Farrow because they know he cares about them. He provides services and gives advice on a personal basis. Every last tooth on every last patient receives expert consideration. The patient's best interest is always at the heart of everything Monroe Street Family Dentistry does. In some cases this means having hard but honest conversations about dental hygiene and gum care. Having these conversations is delicate, but having them early is essential. Because Dr. Farrow is candid and approachable, he can help people develop healthy habits and evaluate their dental health choices.

His practice is built on his strong belief in helping others, supporting individual health and building a strong community. Dr. Farrow is a former dental director of the Madison Dental Initiative clinic located at the Salvation Army shelter. With other volunteer dentists and in the partnership with MEDIC, a medical student-run organization, he provides dental care for the homeless and underserved populations.

He practices close to home and is proud to be part of such a tight-knit, progressive, and eclectic neighborhood.

I've been in the dental profession for over 13 years. I love greeting patients with a warm smile or by helping them understand their insurance benefits better. My goal is to answer any questions or concerns you may have and make sure you have a enjoyable appointment.

Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors with my husband and daughter.

I love being part of the team at Monroe Street Family Dental. I'm here to help patients find the right appointment for their needs and schedule, welcoming them to office, and ending their visit on a positive note.

Outside of work I spend most of my time keeping up with my kids busy schedule, knitting, and dabbling with gardening.

I grew up in Woodbury, Minnesota. I came to Madison to do my undergraduate degree at UW-Madison and stayed to work at Monroe Street Family Dental. I would like to go back to graduate school in a few years. I ride my bike to work whenever I can. When asked what's the most important thing to do for dental health, I have to answer "flossing." We've all been tired at the end of the day and thought, 'I really don't want to floss tonight,' but you just need to do it. Flossing is so important.

Here's something you might not know about me: Growing up I was a huge fan of the TV show Wishbone, and I still wish I had it on DVD. He went through so much literature!

My family and I moved to Wisconsin in 2014 from Arlington Heights, Illinois. We came to Madison because it is our favorite place on earth. (It’s true!)

I’m so happy to be here, and be a part of the Monroe Street Family Dental team that is so emblematic of all that I love about this area. I admire how Dr. Farrow puts people--both staff and patients--first. He truly cares about each and every one of his patients, and works to make each detail of his practice the very best quality it can be. (It is even a pleasure to listen to the music he selects. I don’t know if I can say that about another dental office. Did you know that “My Beautiful Balloon” is still in rotation in some places?) I have been impressed by Monroe Street Family Dental on every level.

I attended Illinois Wesleyan as a biology major, and switched to English, graduating with a B.A. I worked for years for not-for-profits such as City of Hope and Jane Addams Hull House, in fundraising and event planning offices, as a Campaign Assistant. I missed my science studies, however, and decided to go back to school to work in a health field after I married. I was valedictorian of William Rainey Harper College class of 2007 and eager to begin my new career. I am now “Mama” to two incredible young daughters, and dental hygiene has been a wonderful fit for us.

My hobbies are many, and I enjoy talking to my patients about whatever it is that they love to do. I want to be an integral, giving and helpful part of the Madison community - my “forever” home. I love my new position and look forward to meeting you at your next visit to Monroe Street Family Dental.

I grew up on a lovely North Dakota farm and earned my Dental Hygiene degree at NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND in 1996. My husband and I and our sweet "cat family" moved to Madison in early 2015, and we couldn't be happier to call this great city our home!

In my free time I take pleasure in exploring Madison and surrounding areas with my husband, as well as practicing yoga and reading. I enjoy studying esoteric subjects and following non-corporate news sources.

I am so proud to be a part of the Monroe Street Family Dental Team! From the minute I stepped in, it was plain to see that Dr. Farrow puts his whole heart and soul into providing our patients with the best possible care. I feel incredibly fortunate to work with this excellent group of people.

I received my dental hygiene degree from MATC (now Madison College) in 2002.  I love learning and keeping busy, so I went back to college and received a BA from UW Whitewater with a focus on public health in 2014. My husband and I have twin sons that are currently in Milwaukee, working their way up the ladder at some of the best restaurants in Wisconsin. Since the boys moved out, my husband is surrounded by ladies. We have a hilarious, soccer-playing teenage daughter at home who is enjoying her last leisurely summer before she gets her driver’s license. We also have a yellow lab and a miscellaneous cat.

Outside of work, I enjoy nature and activities that take me outside, such as bicycle riding and golf. We have just returned to tent camping as well. I love baking from scratch when I find the time, or reading and watching a wide variety of movies.

I’m excited to be joining the team at Monroe Street Family Dental because it is in one of the best neighborhoods in Madison. Caring for people, the environment, and my community is very important to me and I will be able to do that every day that I’m at Monroe Street Family Dental.

A Milwaukee native, I moved to Madison in December of 2017. I graduated from UW-Oshkosh in December of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Theatre and Spanish language, and Milwaukee Area Technical College in December of 2017 with a dental assisting certificate.

In my free time I love to travel and go hiking. As of now, I am working on a quest to visit all of the Wisconsin State Parks. Perrot State Park in LaCrosse is my favorite one so far. Otherwise exploring around town, going grocery shopping, and learning new recipes and cooking them, are some things that make me happy during the week.

To be a part of Monroe Street Family Dental really exemplifies the reasons why I decided to move to Madison in the first place. When I come to work it almost feels like I am taking a walk to my next door neighbor's house and hanging out there all day. Our team is so personable, compassionate, and hard working, and our patients are just the same. That all makes me constantly find myself wanting to move to the Monroe Street neighborhood, just to be a part of this community more. I look forward to hearing from patients what they like to do in their free time, volunteering with the Monroe Street Family Dental team, and helping our patients feel confident with their smiles.

My husband and I have called Madison home for 8+ years now. I have been in the dental profession since 2011. I grew up in Dodgeville, WI a small town in southwest WI surrounded by natural beauty and artsy culture. I love all things Madison, from the farmers market to music on the terrace. It is very important to me to embrace culture and explore the world. I will always treasure the experiences I have had abroad especially in Panama where I became fluent in Spanish and developed wanderlust.

In my free time I love to camp, hike, exercise, eat tacos and drink coffee!

I love being a part of the Monroe Street Family Dental team because we provide exceptional treatment, give back to the community, and most importantly we want to be a part of your family!

I joined the Monroe Street Family Dental team shortly after our last child was born. Prior to this role in the office, I received a BS in Biostatistics and worked in clinical research. I enjoy being a part of the office and helping the office organization, administration, projects, and marketing efforts. I love being a part of this great team, seeing the smiles from patients that Dr. Farrow and his staff helps achieve.

Outside of work, I stay busy chasing our three children, running, yoga, and reading a good book when I can keep my eyes open at the end of the day!

I'm a 2004 graduate of UW-Madison, I love the City of Madison, and I have three dogs. Lexi, my most recent addition, is a 9 year old rescue I offered to take care of temporarily, which turned permanent. Jax, a 5 year old Teddy Bear (Shih Tzu-Bichon Mix) I took in from a family member. Hank, an 18 month old Shorkie (Shih Tzu-Yorkie Mix) I've had since he was a puppy.

My hobbies and interests include: Spreadsheets, traveling, anything to do with parks, hiking, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, biking, walking my dogs, gardening, crafting, cross-stitching, knitting, upcycling items.

I'm glad to be part of Monroe Street Family Dental because we have to pay the bills! Really, I have been with MSFD since the doors opened, and I truly believe Dr. Farrow is the best dentist there is. I am so happy to be part of such an amazing and caring team.

Something surprising about me that others should know: I was named after the Bionic Woman. I had 6 wisdom teeth (all have been removed). I took the April 30 Day of Biking Pledge, and I did it! I biked everyday for 30 days. Also, I know every word to Every Rose Has Its Thorn.
