RE-OPENING for Preventative Dental Care

For the last 10 years, Monroe Street Family Dental has taken great pride in treating our patients compassionately while focusing intently on the safety of each patient. The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic has not changed our guiding principles. We remain committed to fostering an environment of happy, healthy, and whole people. We firmly believe that preventative dental care is essential to health.

We are pleased to announce that we will resume providing limited preventative dental care on Monday, May 11th.

As we re-open, our highest priority is the safety of our patients and team members. We are committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment that is fully compliant with OSHA and CDC guidelines. While your appointment may feel a little different, you will still find the office filled with warm and friendly people that care about your overall health.

You will notice some additional precautions to ensure our processes meet or exceed standards of care, some which include:

  • Screening patients for universally accepted symptoms of COVID-19
  • Taking temperatures of our team members and patients when they enter the office
  • Modifying our schedule to minimize exposure between other persons in the office
  • Limiting or modifying some procedures that carry the risk of creating aerosols
  • Increasing personal protection equipment (PPE): higher level surgical or N95 masks, face shields, and gown coverings
  • Implementing a pre-procedure antimicrobial mouth rinse
  • Increasing the frequency of cleaning and disinfection of all common areas and facilities
  • Temporarily removing items that pose a risk for cross-contamination (e.g. magazines, toys, and books) from our common areas
  • Adding HEPA air purification to improve air quality

To honor social distancing recommendations, we request the following of all patients when presenting at Monroe Street Family Dental:

  • Make time to discuss your appointment by phone with a member of our team
  • Arrive with a face mask to our office
  • Use hand sanitizer upon arrival and departure from a procedure
  • Maintain a social distance of six feet with other patients
  • Please do not bring companions to appointments. For children under the age of 18, we will permit one accompanying adult to attend their appointment.

This moment has changed our lives in innumerable ways, but please know that we are implementing these changes to protect you and others. However unfamiliar some aspects of your visit may feel, please know that we remain dedicated to delivering the same experience you have come to expect at Monroe Street Family Dental.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends. We can’t wait to see you!
