Jesse Mangerson

Jesse Mangerson is a contemporary realist painter touching on a wide variety of subjects including cityscape, landscape, and the figure. Much of his work bridges the gap between fine art and illustration as his process pairs the practice of location painting and direct observational study with his use of multiple photo references to create unqiue narrative works.
Jesse studied illustration at both the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire, earning a BFA, and at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA earning an MFA. Jesse lives with his wife and children in Madison, WI.
