As a felting artist, Jennifer Angelo uses natural fibers to create dimensional wall art. Her technique involves meticulously laying out individual wool wisps before wetting the material with soapy water, rolling it in bubble wrap and agitating it to encourage the fibers to entangle. The result is a luxurious, durable felt.
Inspiration to begin practicing felting came when she ived in New Zealand, where the ubiquitous Merino sheep provided soft, sensitive and sustainable wool. She also creates wearable clothing made of this organic, breathable fiber that link the wearer to the world’s living beauty.
